At Specialized Plating, Inc., we offer a wide array of high-quality plating services designed to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Our extensive processing capabilities ensure that we can provide the right solution for your specific requirements, delivering exceptional results every time.
Gold Plating
Gold plating provides excellent electrical conductivity, corrosion and wear resistance as well as an extremely durable finish that can withstand extreme temperatures and harsh environmental conditions. These benefits make gold an ideal choice for the aerospace, defense and telecommunication industries. SPI offers two types of gold plating, Pure and Hard, that ensures a high-quality, long-lasting finish with superior performance.
Nickel Plating– Electrolytic and Electroless
Nickel is the most common electroplated coating and is suitable for a variety of applications, including aerospace, defense and telecommunication industries. Nickel plating provides a durable, hard deposit with excellent corrosion and wear resistance. SPI offers both electrolytic (sulfamate nickel) and a mid-phos electroless nickel, which is ROHS compliant and as the name suggests, requires no rectifiers, anodes or electrical current.
Silver Plating– Semi-Bright
Much like gold, silver has become a staple in the plating industry due to its outstanding electrical conductivity and thermal properties. Our silver plating guarantees a smooth, long-lasting finish suitable for an array of industries, from aerospace to electronics.
Iridite/Chromate Conversion Coating – Chemical Film
Chem Film, as it is commonly referred as, is a chemical process that produces a protective chrome conversion film on aluminum alloys. The coating offers corrosion protection that can be used as a final finish or the base for paint or topcoats. SPI offers hexavalent chem film and non-hexavalent, or ROHS compliant, coating.
Passivation
SPI’s passivation process removes surface contaminants, such as free iron, and enhances corrosion resistance on stainless steel parts. Our passivation, Type II and Type VI, ensure your components meet stringent industry standards and perform in demanding environments.
Rhodium
In addition to excellent electrical conductivity, rhodium plating provides an extremely hard and bright finish that is resistant to heat, wear and corrosion. Our rhodium plating delivers a brilliant, durable finish enhances the appearance and performance of your products.
Copper
Utilized primarily as an underplate coating, SPI offers a copper plating deposit with excellent conductivity and adhesion properties.
